I followed everything she said up to the point (2:33) where you’re supposed to take a drive for 8 km and then “come back”? She meant just check the tire pressure again to make sure it’s holding, right?

Honda is getting stupid by eliminating the spare tire, repair kit is bull crap.

Had a look at mine and can’t understand how to use at all . Far too complicated.

step 1 , IGNORE THIS VIDEO. step 2, call someone if possible to get you your off season tire to you step 3 , if step 2 is not feasible check for close by tire repair shops or call road side step 4 For absolutely no reason should you EVER use the gunk they give you, you will end up buying a new tire and rim because no shop will fix it

It tells us a lot about the kit's usefulness when we keep hearing to call the road side assistance 4 to 5 times in this short video. Thanks but no thanks mam!

Do you have it can you produce a video for installing a space saver w/kit, into preferably a 2017 civic model? Every website I see one requires a whole to be cut in the carpet and I’d feel a lot more comfortable if an official dealer was to endorse this.

With many European brands nowadays fitted with front/rear different size wheels, this is the only way to go.

A disgraceful cop out by manufacturers to increase profits and hardly a fix. Maybe OK in Ireland and postage stamp size countries where you run out of road after 100Km.

So what happens when your tire blows out on the highway in a romote location. Or your miles/km away from the next small town. Tire repare kit is useless at that point. Having yourself a spare tire, you’ll be able to replace that tire well before roadside assistance arrives in that sort of situation

Spare tyre is best as it is a sure job and ten minutes for the compressor to pump the tyre with sealant and all the process to locate the puncture, by then I will change the spare tyre and be on my way

It looks good but the issue putting me off particularly in Australia where sometimes help is a long way off, if I damage a wheel on one of our many crappy roads then I am in for a very expensive tow to the nearest town. A rethink might be necessary on this one along with the lack of a fifth seat belt position thanks to ADR'S and the lack of a child seat restraint point for the middle.

Very clear. Very helpful. Very well presented. The only issues for me are that I live in Scotland and I've got a Honda Civic! This gives me a general idea about how to use the kit, though I am surprised I've yet to find something specific to the Civic through an Internet search. But I am reassured that not having a spare wheel it's okay so well done for providing this reassurance and thank you for the very helpful advice.

Spare Tire Pros: - Faster solution. - Reliable (there is *nothing* for me that can top this one) Cons: - More weight in your car = Lower performance - You need to know what you are doing I take the spare tire any day, every day.

That woman has no shame. Car makers have found a new way to save money and transfer inconvenience to their customers. They obviously dont listen to consumer feedback or read U Tube comments. Haven't the dealers got the courage to speak frankly to the manufacturers.
